On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (Unsurya) held a meeting with a delegation from the Embassy of Timor-Leste at the Hercules Hall, Campus A, Unsurya.
The meeting was led by the Rector of Unsurya, Air Vice Marshal (Ret.) Dr. Sungkono, S.E., M.Si., and attended by Vice Rector I, Air Vice Marshal (Ret.) Dr. Syamsunasir, S.Sos., M.M., C.FrA, Vice Rector II, Air Marshal (Ret.) Dr. I.D.K. Kerta Widana, SKM., MKKK, Vice Rector III, Air Marshal (Ret.) Dr. Agus Purwo W., S.E., M.M., M.A., CIPA, as well as faculty deans and heads of institutional departments.
The Timor-Leste delegation was led by Defense Attaché Colonel Manuel Freitas Maubuti, and included Education Attaché Jaime Andre Simoes, Trade Attaché Apolo Justino Franca da Silva, Deputy Defense Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Jose Pito, and Assistant Education Attaché Herminio Chaves Almeida.
This visit, aimed at fostering collaboration and partnership, focused on exploring cooperation in various fields—particularly in education, academic exchange, and research.

In his welcoming remarks, the Rector of Unsurya stated that this visit marks an important milestone in Unsurya’s journey toward becoming a world-class university. Unsurya remains committed to providing a conducive academic environment, supporting the advancement of knowledge, and creating opportunities for Timor-Leste students to grow and contribute to their nation.
Meanwhile, Education Attaché Jaime Andre Simoes expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome extended by Unsurya. He conveyed his enthusiasm for establishing a collaborative partnership with the university.
