Unsurya Jakarta (WR3 – February 11, 2025) – Students of Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (Unsurya) who are members of the Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit (UKM) have achieved a proud accomplishment.
At the Trisula 2025 Pencak Silat Championship, held at GOR PKP Jakarta Islamic School Ciracas, Unsurya’s martial arts athletes won several medals, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in various competition categories.
The championship, which took place on February 8, 2025, was attended by hundreds of pencak silat athletes from various universities and martial arts clubs across Indonesia.
With thorough preparation and a strong fighting spirit, the Unsurya athletes delivered outstanding performances in the arena.
The Vice Chair of Unsurya’s Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit, Ridho Hadi Prayitno, expressed his pride in the team’s achievement at the competition.
“We are truly grateful and proud of the hard work and dedication shown by all the athletes. This achievement is the result of intensive training and the support from various parties, including the university, which consistently encourages the development of students’ interests and talents in sports,” he said.
One of the gold medalists, Amalliatus Solihah, also expressed her gratitude.
“This is an incredible experience! The competition was extremely tough, but through hard work and prayer, we were finally able to bring home the victory,” she said.
This achievement further solidifies Unsurya’s presence in the national pencak silat arena. The Vice Rector III of Unsurya, Air Marshal (Ret.) Dr. Agus Purwo W., S.E., M.M., M.A., CIPA, also extended his appreciation for the students’ success.
“This accomplishment proves that Unsurya students excel not only in academics but also in sports. I hope this victory serves as motivation for other students to continue developing their talents,” he stated.
With this achievement, Unsurya’s Pencak Silat UKM is determined to continue training and improving their quality in order to compete at even higher-level championships in the future.
The event was also attended by Hanifan Yudani Kusumah (Asian Games 2018 gold medalist), who appeared as a guest star. From Unsurya, the event was attended by Head of Student Creativity Division, Budi Aji Warsiyanto, S.T., M.T., along with lecturers and educational staff.
