Jakarta, August 13, 2024 – SMKN 4 Depok, West Java, once again demonstrated its commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry through a Community Service Program (PKM) titled “Composite Material Manufacturing Training.” The event, held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, was attended by 11th-grade students from the Avionics Department.

The PKM activity was designed with a series of sessions, including a pre-test to assess students’ initial understanding of composite materials, theoretical material delivery, hands-on composite manufacturing practice, a post-test for evaluation, and a prize-based quiz as the closing session. The training atmosphere was lively, filled with enthusiasm from the participants.
This training aimed not only to enhance students’ theoretical understanding of composite materials but also to equip them with practical skills aligned with current industry trends. Composite material manufacturing, which is increasingly used in the aviation and automotive industries, is expected to become one of the key competencies for SMKN 4 Depok students, particularly those focusing on avionics.

Through this training, it is hoped that students will be better prepared to face the evolving challenges of the industrial world. The practical skills gained are expected to strengthen their technical capabilities and help them adapt more easily to future technological developments.

Furthermore, this activity is also intended to reinforce the synergy between educational institutions and industry, ensuring that SMKN 4 Depok graduates become more competitive and job-ready in accordance with industry demands. There is great hope for the enhancement of vocational education quality—one that not only provides knowledge but also hands-on skills that are directly applicable in the workplace. (TP-Ris)
