On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, a community service activity was conducted at TK Angkasa 1 Halim Perdanakusuma. The event carried the theme “Assistance in Growth and Development Screening for Early Detection in Preschool-Aged Children” and was organized by the lecturers of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma. The activity was led by Ns. Fitri Anggraeni, M.Kes, with team members Ns. Luluk Eka Meylawati, M.Kep, Ns. Harwina Widya Astuti, M.Kep, and second-year students from the Diploma in Nursing program.

The activity was well received by the Principal of TK Angkasa 1 Halim Perdanakusuma, Mrs. Woro Widiastuti, S.T. The event began at 08.00 AM with an introductory session between the community service team and the school, as well as the preschool children participating in the screening. After the introduction, the activity continued with growth screening, during which the children’s weight and height were measured one by one according to their class. This step aimed to assess the children’s nutritional status and growth based on established health standards.
Following that, the community service team conducted developmental screening using the Pre-Screening Developmental Questionnaire (Kuesioner Pra Skrining Perkembangan or KPSP) tailored to each child’s age. The purpose of this screening was to detect potential developmental delays early and to ensure that each child is developing in accordance with their age-appropriate milestones.

As a closing session, the activity concluded with a termination session between the community service team and the representatives of TK Angkasa 1 Halim Perdanakusuma. The Principal, Mrs. Woro Widiastuti, S.T., represented the school in a brief discussion and evaluation regarding the implementation of the activity. It is hoped that the results of this screening will serve as a basis for evaluation and follow-up actions to support the growth and development of preschool children at TK Angkasa 1.

This community service activity represents a concrete contribution from the academic community to society, particularly in the field of early childhood health. It is hoped that the collaboration between Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma and TK Angkasa 1 will continue in the future to support efforts in improving the health and well-being of children within the school environment.
